Head Coach Scott Limbaugh on the 2024 Watersound Invitational
“We’ve had a good month of preparation and training to get ready for our spring season. I’m most excited about the leadership and how consistently we’ve had guys showing up ready to work on the course, in the weight room, and as teammates. We have finally reached the starting block for this part of our season. The guys are excited to get going and see what we can do together.
“This is a special group of seniors that have given so much to this university and our program and they want to continue adding upon their legacy. We certainly have a talented group of guys, but talent doesn’t guarantee us anything. Our challenge to them is to see if we can become the toughest team mentally and physically that we can be. That also means helping them learn to compete without their best stuff. Each time we go out the expectation is to compete, build toughness, and sharpen our skills. If we can do those things and everyone continues to consistently show up, then we will hopefully have the opportunity to be where want to be. That’s why we all choose to play and compete, for the fun and joy that comes along with trying to be the best we can be.”
