BLOOMINGTON, Ind. – Vanderbilt’s men’s tennis team will return to the courts this week as the team travels to Indiana to play in the 2009 Wilson/ITA Regional Championships Thursday through Sunday.

The Commodores will have eight players competing in the event. Senior James Moye, junior Alex Zotov and sophomore Alex DiValerio will compete in the qualifying singles draw, which begins Thursday.

Competing in the main draw, which begins on Friday, will be senior Vijay Paul, juniors Adam Baker and Bryant Salcedo, sophomore Charlie Jones and freshman Ryan Lipman.

The Wilson/ITA Regional Championships are divided into 12 regions. The Commodores are one of 27 teams competing in the Ohio Valley region at Indiana. In addition to Vanderbilt, SEC schools Tennessee and Kentucky are also in the same region. Last year, the ITA Regional Championships were held in Lexington, Ky.

This is the second to last tournament the Commodores will compete in this fall. The team will conclude the fall Oct. 30 through Nov. 1 at the Alabama Invitational.
