NASHVILLE, Tenn. – The Vanderbilt men’s tennis team will begin the spring season this Wednesday against Tennessee Tech at the Currey Tennis Center beginning at 2 p.m. CT.

Sophomore Nik Cromydas and seniors Nathan Sachs and Andy Mack will likely play near the top of the lineup for the Commodores in the absence of last year’s starters Ryan Preston, Evan Dufaux and Jordan Magarik who are not NCAA eligible for the first two dual matches of the season.

Vanderbilt’s three freshmen will also get a chance to step up during the first two Commodore contests. James Moye (Winter Park, Fla.), Vijay Paul (Medford, N.J.), and Scott Lieberman (Riverwoods, Ill.) will join the team’s upperclassmen to make up the Commodore singles lineup.

“We’re excited to get started,” Vanderbilt Head Coach Ian Duvenhage said. “We’d like tomorrow’s match to set the trend for the rest of the season.”
