Men’s tennis headed to UT-Chattanooga The Commodores men’s tennis team will begin play on Friday, October 1st in the ITA/Icy Hot All-American Championships. Match play will be held at the UTC Tennis Center on the campus of the University of Tennessee at Chattanooga. The first three days of play begin October 1-3 when six Commodores will play in the pre-qualifying round. Vanderbilt players include Evan Dufaux, Nathan Sachs, Jordan Magarik, Andy Mack, Jason Pinsky and Ryan Preston. Matt Lockin advanced to the qualifying round which takes place October 4-6. Commodore standout Scott Brown will play in the main draw of the tournament on October 7-10. Vanderbilt is coming off of the Southern Intercollegiate Championships which were held at the University of Georgia just last weekend. Scott Brown advanced to the final round of flight one singles but lost to Georgia Tech’s Jose Muguruza. The Commodores look to improve on their fall season with a good showing in Chattanooga this weekend. Draws will be posted each day of play for the Commodores on vucommodores.com. |
