ATHENS, Ga. – The Vanderbilt men’s tennis team saw promise from several of its younger members after the first day of the Bulldog Scramble.
Freshman Joe Dorn paired up with senior Alex DiValerio for two doubles victories, an 8-6 win over Georgia’s Nathan Pasha and Will Oliver, and a 9-7 win over Dusan Milijevic and Eduardo Segura Mandarino from Georgia Tech.
Dorn continued his play with a 6-3, 6-2 win in singles over Georgia’s Eric Diaz.
Michael Retta also won his singles match in split sets against Georgia’s Oliver, a 7-6(6), 3-6, 7-5 finish.
