Men’s Golf to Host Mason Rudolph Intercollegiate Beginning Friday

The Vanderbilt men’s golf team will play host to the fifth annual Mason Rudolph Intercollegiate this Friday-Sunday, Sept. 30-Oct. 2, at the Vanderbilt Legends Club in Franklin, Tenn. The 54-hole event will take place on the par 72, 7,200-yard Ironhorse Course.

Along with Vanderbilt, the 12-team field includes Baylor, Belmont, College of Charleston, Furman, Kansas, Miami (Ohio), Middle Tennessee, Ole Miss, Rice, SMU and Virginia.

“We’re always excited to compete on our home course and share the event with Mason Rudolph.” Vanderbilt Head Coach Press McPhaul said. ” We’re looking forward to getting in the hunt to win the tournament.”

Commodore freshman Jon Curran tied for 10th place at the Inverness Intercollegiate, Vanderbilt’s first tournament of the fall season, Sept. 19-20 in Toledo, Ohio. Curran will compete again this weekend for the Commodores along with junior Luke List, sophomore John Ebert, junior Dos Goldsmith and senior Will Armstrong.

Vanderbilt players will start play Friday from the first tee beginning at 8:45 a.m.
