Men's Golf in The Prestige at PGA WEST

LA QUINTA, Calif. — The Vanderbilt men’s golf team is in southern California this weekend for The Prestige at PGA WEST at the TPC Stadium Course.

The world-class course will measure 7,026 yards and play to par 72 for the 54-hole tournament, which will features 18 holes each on Sunday through Tuesday.

Head Coach Tom Shaw has chosen seniors Hudson Johnson and Chris Rockwell, junior Ryan Haselden and sophomores Trey DelGreco and Ben Klaus to compete in this week’s event.

The field includes five of the Top 25 teams in the most recent Golf World/Nike Golf Division I Coaches’ Poll: Washington (No. 2), Stanford (No. 3), Southern California (No. 9), TCU (No. 19) and UCLA (No. 20).

The tournament will begin with a Sunday afternoon shotgun start. The Commodores will begin on holes one through four, playing with Central Florida and tournament co-hosts Stanford and UC-Davis.
