The Commodores return from final exams with a matchup against Alabama A&M Saturday night at Memorial Gym, with a tip off scheduled for 7 p.m. There will be no television for the game, but the contest will be streamed live on vucommodores.com as a part of the site’s All-Access package, and can be heard live on the Vanderbilt IMG Radio Network across middle Tennessee and online at vucommodores.com.

Commodores Sweep SEC Player/Freshman of the Week Honors
Guard Kyle Fuller won the SEC Player of the Week for his career-high 25-point performance at Xavier. Twelve of Fuller’s points came in the overtime period, and his 12 points accounted for all of the Commodores’ scoring in overtime. He also added three steals, which set a new career high, and his totals of eight field goals and seven free throws made were also career bests.
Freshman Kevin Bright was named the SEC Freshman of the Week for his second consecutive double-double with 11 points and 10 rebounds in the win over Xavier. Bright, from Mannheim, Germany, is the first Commodore to tally consecutive double-doubles since Festus Ezeli (at Alabama, 1/19/2012; vs. Miss. State, 1/22/2012), and he is the first freshman to have consecutive double-doubles since A.J. Ogilvy in 2007.
Monday’s announcement was the first time since January 7, 2008, that the Commodores swept the league’s weekly honors. That week, Shan Foster won the Player of the Week and A.J. Ogilvy claimed Freshman of the week. It was the second time Vanderbilt has swept the honor.
Last Non-Televised Game of the Season
Saturday’s matchup with Alabama A&M will be the Commodores’ last game not scheduled for television or an ESPN3.com broadcast this season.
Overtime Success
The Commodores came away with a 66-64 overtime win at Xavier in their last time out behind a career-high 25 points from junior guard Kyle Fuller – the victory was Vanderbilt’s first overtime win in their last seven tries. The Commodores’ last overtime win before the Xavier win was a 96-94 win over Georgia on February 25, 2010, at Memorial Gym, and the last overtime win on the road since December 12, 2007, when the Commodores defeated DePaul, 91-85, at Allstate Arena.
Stallings Approaching Memorial Gym Wins Record
Head coach Kevin Stallings is three wins away from becoming the all-time wins leader at Memorial Gym. Stallings sits at 179 wins, with Vanderbilt legend Roy Skinner leading the way with 181 career Memorial Gym wins.
‘Dores Three-Point Streak Still Intact
Vanderbilt has made a 3-pointer in 839 consecutive games, a streak which began at the inception of the 3-point line in 1986-87. The Commodores rank second only to UNLV for the longest streak in Division I basketball. Vanderbilt, UNLV and Princeton are the only three schools in college basketball to have made at least one 3-pointer in every game played since the 3-point line was implemented.
