Former Vanderbilt star Luke List shot a 16-under par, 272, at the Kinderlou Forest Golf Club in Valdosta, Ga., to claim his first Nationwide Tour event of the season at the South Georgia Classic. List won the tournament by two strokes over Brian Stuard.
List’s final round of 68 on the Nationwide Tour’s longest course at 7,781 yards, was his fourth round in the 60’s for the weekend. List, now second on the Nationwide Tour Money List behind Andres Gonzales, is also the tour’s longest driver at over 323 yards per drive.
The South Georgia Classic is one of 24 Nationwide events on this year’s schedule, with the top 25 players from the Nationwide Tour earning a PGA Tour card in 2013.
List and his Nationwide Tour compatriots will tee it up in Athens, Georgia, next weekend at the Stadion Classic at UGA.
