Lipman falls at ITA All-Americans

TULSA, Okla. – Vanderbilt freshman men’s tennis player Ryan Lipman had his run at the D’Novo/ITA All-American Tennis Championships come to end Wednesday when he lost in the third round.

After posting wins on consecutive days in the qualifying singles draw, Lipman was eliminated Wednesday afternoon by Auburn’s Alex Stamchev, 3-6, 6-3, 6-3.

Despite the loss by Lipman, the Commodores are not finished competing at the tournament. Vanderbilt’s doubles duo of Adam Baker and Alex Zotov is slated to begin play in the main doubles draw on Thursday. The duo is ranked No. 12 in the country.
