Lacrosse, six 'Dores earn academic honors

Aug. 29, 2012

Six Commodore student-athletes were named to the 2012 IWLCA Academic Honor Roll as the Vanderbilt women’s lacrosse team was one of 42 schools honored as IWLCA Academic Squads last week.

Four 2012 graduates–Catherine Carr, Kacie Connors, Kendall Pittinger and Alex Priddy–were joined by rising seniors Paige Cahill and Chelsea Pasfield on the Academic Honor Roll. Vanderbilt’s six honorees paced the American Lacrosse Conference, which had a total of 17 student-athletes mentioned on the list.

In all, the IWLCA honored 173 student-athletes from 56 different institutions nationally. All student-athletes were nominated by their schools and have achieved at least junior status academically.

As a team, Vanderbilt was recognized as an IWLCA Academic Squad for boasting a GPA of better than 3.0 during the 2011-12 school year. Conference mates Florida and Penn State joined Vanderbilt on the list, which is included below.
