NASHVILLE – Vanderbilt Lacrosse has released its 2019 spring schedule, head coach Beth Hewitt announced on Monday.
The Commodores, who play their first season in the American Athletic Conference in 2019, open up at home on Feb. 10 against Wagner, the first of six chances to see the Dores at home this season.
“We are looking forward to having a fresh start to this 2019 campaign,” Hewitt said. “Not only are we in a new conference, but we also added a lot of new opponents to our nonconference schedule. New competition makes for an exciting year.”
Vanderbilt and Florida join current AAC members Cincinnati, Connecticut, East Carolina and Temple to form the new six-team American Athletic Conference.
The Dores’ 2019 schedule features five conference games, with three on the road and two at home. They kick off the conference slate on the road at ECU on March 31 and wrap up conference play at home against Temple on April 27. The AAC Conference Tournament is set to start on May 2.
The Dores will also face former Big East foes in Butler and Denver this season.
