Lacrosse Falls to No. 2 Stanford

The Dores return home Sunday to host Denver

NASHVILLE, Tenn. – Aliya Polisky led all scorers with seven goals as No. 2/3 Stanford topped Vanderbilt 18-6 on Monday morning at the Vanderbilt Lacrosse Complex.

Vanderbilt (1-2) was led by Brooke Baker, who scored twice, while Anna Taraboletti, Gabby Putman, Molly Krestinski and Nancy Halleron each added a goal. Hayden Miller and Shea Panzik recorded an assist apiece. Taraboletti caused a career-high three turnovers, while Chloe Bethea-Jones added two for the Commodores. In goal, Emme Martin made eight saves.

Stanford (3-0) had six different scorers, led by Polisky, with hat tricks from Ava Arceri and Mallory Hasselbeck. Rylee Bouvier caused a game-high four turnovers.

Vanderbilt returns to action Sunday, hosting Denver. Opening draw is set for noon on ESPN+.
