Lacrosse Falls to Louisville

Vanderbilt returns home Saturday

LOUISVILLE, Ky. – Ella Berg scored two goals to lead Louisville to a 5-4 victory over Vanderbilt on Wednesday afternoon at UofL Lacrosse Stadium.

Logan Risenhoover opened the scoring for Vanderbilt (5-6) off an assist from Molly Krestinski, while Gabby Putman, Anna Taraboletti and Shea Panzik also found the back of the net. Junior Alex Gladding caused three turnovers.

Louisville (6-5) got goals from Berg, Rian Adkins, Grayce Kitchen and Maggie McMahon, while Charlotte Jackson recorded the Cardinals’ lone assist.

The Commodores had opportunities down the stretch but were unable to find the equalizer as Louisville goalkeeper Haley Richards made 17 saves to secure the win.

Vanderbilt returns home Saturday to celebrate its 30th anniversary weekend, hosting Charlotte. Opening draw is set for noon on ESPN+.
