Lila Huddles tallied three goals, second hat trick of her career

CINCINNATI, Ohio. — Vanderbilt lacrosse fell at American Athletic Conference rival Cincinnati 19-6 on Saturday afternoon.

Senior Lila Huddles recorded her second-career hat trick on just five shots.

Cincinnati controlled the opening quarter, leaving Vanderbilt shotless in the first 15 minutes. Ellie Hilsabeck connected on her second goal of the season just 26 seconds into the second period to get the Dores on the board for the first time. The Bearcats responded with three-consecutive goals to go up 6-1. Huddles connected for her first goal of the day at the 7:44 mark of the second, but the Dores would be unable to find the back of the cage for the rest of the half. Cincinnati led 10-2 at the break.

In the third, Hilsabeck found Huddles for her second goal of the game (fifth of the season) at the halfway point of the quarter. The senior’s third goal came in fourth as Vandy trailed 17-4.

Paige Finneran connected on back-to-back goals but the Bearcats held on to win 19-6.
