NASHVILLE, Tenn. — Vanderbilt lacrosse will play its final game of the 2023 season hosting Temple on Saturday at noon on ESPN+. The Commodores will honor 10 seniors in a special pregame ceremony.

Last Wednesday, the Dores lost to eighth-ranked Florida in a 22-6 decision. After falling behind early in the first, the Dores scored two quick goals to begin the second quarter. A slow second half kept the Commodores out of the game, eventually falling.

Temple is 7-8 overall, 2-3 in American Athletic Conference play. In the last two contests, the Owls topped Old Dominion (19-5) and East Carolina (11-7). Belle Mastropietro leads the team in goals (37), assists (19) and draw controls (86).
Temple has the third-most goals-per-game average in the league, sitting behind James Madison and Florida at 12.00.
Series History
Saturday’s matchup will be the 12th contest between Vanderbilt and Temple. The Owls lead the series 8-3. Saturday’s game will mark the third time in five years that Vanderbilt will close the regular season against Temple.
Last season, the Dores defeated the Owls 11-10 in an overtime thriller that allowed Vanderbilt to continue to the AAC Tournament championship game.
