Seniors Molly and Megan Kinsella and sophomore Chelsea Stewart were among 40 student-athletes from the SEC honored on the list.

Megan Kinsella has had a fast start to the 2010 campaign, including two assists in VU’s opening 5-1 win at UAB and the Commodores’ lone goal in a narrow 2-1 defeat to Minnesota.

Megan’s sister Molly made her first appearance of the year against the Golden Gophers after sitting out VU’s opener nursing an injury. Molly has led the Commodores in scoring each of the past three seasons while earned all-conference honors every year.

Stewart is on hiatus from the Commodores this season as she plays with the Canadian National Team in preparation for the 2011 FIFA Women’s World Cup in Germany.

Vanderbilt plays host to a pair of games against this weekend, welcoming Tennessee Tech and Southern Miss — both nicknamed the Golden Eagles — to the VU Soccer Complex.

The Tennessee Tech match is scheduled for 7 p.m. Friday and will be followed by the Commodores’ annual football pep rally, Gold Rush. The Southern Miss game is scheduled for 1 p.m. Sunday.
