JOSIE EARNEST
Bowling
2007-2010
Josie Earnest was the No. 1 recruit in the United States as a high school senior in Vandalia, Illinois, where she often did her homework at her family’s bowling center. Her decision to attend a young Vanderbilt bowling program surprised some but it has paid dividends ever since. Her mere presence was a catalyst for other bowling stars to also choose Vanderbilt and she went on to become the most honored female student-athlete in school history, the only Commodore to be voted her sport’s national Player of the Year. She is still a key part of the Vanderbilt program while developing into one of the nation’s top professional bowlers.
