Jessica Fear Named to CoSIDA Academic All-District IV Team

Vanderbilt junior defender Jessica Fear (5-5, Jr., West Chester, Ohio) was named to the 2003 Academic All-District IV University Division Women’s Soccer Team, selected by CoSIDA (College Sports Information Directors of America).

Fear helped anchor the Vanderbilt defense that allowed 19 goals in 18 games with only five teams scoring more than one goal on the Commodores. She helped lead the Commodores to a 1-1 double-overtime tie against #11 Arizona State and a 2-2 double overtime tie vs. #15 Tennessee. The Commodores advanced to the SEC Tournament for the 10th time in 11 years after finishing the regular season 3-1-2 in their last six games.

She played in 17 games and totaled five shots.

Fear, an SEC Academic Honor Roll selection, is a psychology/child development major.
