NASHVILLE, Tenn. – Vanderbilt men’s tennis will make its spring season home debut on Saturday at the Currey Tennis Center by hosting Nebraska and Belmont in a doubleheader beginning at noon.
Coming off of a dominant performance in the Coach LaLance Invite last weekend, the Commodores look to start off strong at home.
Vanderbilt will open the day by facing Nebraska for the second time in program history. Last year, Nebraska concluded the season with a 10-17 overall record and went 2-9 in conference play. This season, they welcome five freshmen and return with three sophomores and a senior. Saturday’s match will mark the first match of the spring season for the Huskers.
In their second match of the day, the Commodores will take on neighbor, Belmont. The Bruins enter the spring season with eight veteran players and will debut two freshmen. In the last dual matchup between the two teams, Vanderbilt swept Belmont, 6-0.
Vanderbilt will take on Nebraska at noon followed by Belmont at 4 p.m. CT. Admission to both matches is free.
