NASHVILLE, Tenn. — Fifth-year Brianne Gross and sophomore Nancy Halleron were named All-American Athletic Conference second team on Wednesday morning. This marks the third All-AAC nod for Gross and first for Halleron.
In 14 games played this season, Gross registered the second-most goals on the team with 19 and posted 25 points. Gross recorded three hat tricks this season, including in back-to-back games against Penn State and Rutgers. She led the Commodores with 42 draw controls and became Vanderbilt’s all-time leader in the category with 282 throughout her career. In five years with the Dores, Gross is a two-time first-team selection (2021 and 2022) and was voted to the second team once.
Halleron led the Dores with 22 goals in 15 games this season, posting at least one goal in each of Vandy’s final seven contests. Halleron had two games this season where she posted five goals (against No. 25 Colorado and Louisville) and tallied a hat trick against Old Dominion. The sophomore posted a team-high 27 points and dished five assists.
Vanderbilt ended the 2023 season with a 2-4 record in AAC play.
