Elise Bialecki | Defense | Littleton, Colo.
Q: Why did you choose to commit to Vandy?
Bialecki: “My choice to attend Vandy was the easiest decision I have ever made. Vandy was my dream school when I initially began the recruiting process, so I was beyond grateful to have the opportunity to achieve that dream. The academic rigor, location, and lacrosse program are unparalleled.”
Q: What are your academic goals while at Vanderbilt and longterm?
Bialecki: “I intend to graduate with a degree in Medicine, Health, and Society with a concentration in health behaviors and health sciences. My goal is to attend Vandy’s accelerated nursing program to eventually become a nurse practitioner.”
Q: What made you decide you wanted to continue lacrosse in college?
Bialecki: “Continuing to play lacrosse in college was a no-brainer for me. I love being a student-athlete, as I find it balances my life well. It has allowed me to learn pertinent life lessons in a short amount of time.”
Q: What would you say your biggest strength as a player is?
Bialecki: “My biggest strength as a player is my love for the game. It is because of that love that I live for the grind. Nothing compares to the feeling of working hard towards a shared goal with a group of people you love.”
Q: What about Nashville are you most excited to explore?
Bialecki: “I was raised on country, so living in Nashville is a dream come true. I can’t wait to explore the local spots. I don’t want to be a tourist here, so I would love to find the roads less traveled with lots of live country music.”
Q: What are your hobbies outside of lacrosse?
Bialecki: “Growing up in Colorado sparked my love for the mountains. Hiking is my happy place. I cherish the memories I’ve spent with friends and family in the mountains.”
Q: Do you have any hidden talents?
Bialecki: “My hidden talent is that I can unicycle. I figured I would be the coolest kid in 7th grade if I could unicycle the half mile to school. Suffice to say, I was not the coolest kid; however, I could get most of the way down my street.”
Q: What is a random, fun fact about you that most people don’t know?
Bialecki: “As a normal family does, my family decided to collectively pursue black belts in Tae Kwon Do. After many years, we achieved this far-fetched goal.”
Q: Is there anything else you would like Commodore Nation to know about you?
Bialecki: “I am just beyond excited to be a part of this team. I cannot express enough how grateful I am to have the opportunity to play my favorite sport alongside such a loving and welcoming group of people. The Vanderbilt women’s lacrosse team is a one-in-a-million team, and I am so proud to wear that name across my chest.”
