NASHVILLE, Tenn. — Jennifer Loredo is a freshman from Fresno, California, the daughter of Joey David, Jr. and Vivian Loredo.

She has an older brother (Nickolai) and sister (Wynnona).

Loredo graduated from Clovis West High School and was a nationally-decorated junior bowler, winning the prestigious Junior Gold U15 in 2017 and topping the 2019 Junior Gold qualifiers. She was a three-time Storm All-American.

Age I began to bowl: 4.

Who got me started with bowling: Dad.

When I was a kid I tried to be like: Gabriella from High School Musical.

Favorite movie: Ip Man 4.

Nobody can believe I watch this TV show: Boys Over Flowers.

Favorite midnight snack: Chocolate.

The best tasting food I can make: Potstickers from scratch.

Favorite sport other than bowling: Tennis, volleyball, ice skating.

Biggest misconception about bowling or bowlers: It’s not a sport – bowling is easy.

Favorite athlete to watch in another sport: Mirai Nagasu.

Talent I’d most like to have: Being fluent in different languages.

Favorite thing to do away from bowling: Crocheting, knitting.

Favorite aspect of Nashville: The weather.

Ultimate vacation destination: Japan.

Career goal outside of bowling: Civil lawyer.

The best advice I’ve received: It’s not over until it’s over.

Three things on my bucket list are:

  1. Road trip along the California Coast on Highway 1.
  2. Go to all Disneylands worldwide – and visit one during the holidays.
  3. Travel solo in the US coast to coast.

One thing my hometown is famous for: Sun-Maid Raisins.

My advice to young people is: Don’t overthink the little things.

The Covid-19 pandemic has taught me:

  1. Enjoy and appreciate the little things.
  2. Cooking is fun but washing the dishes is not.

What I missed most during the summer’s quarantine is: Junior Gold, seeing my friends and just going out in general.

Special talents by members of your family: We’re all left handed bowlers.

I choose Vanderbilt because: Top-notch academics and a perfect-sized campus.
