Freshman Competes in NCAA Singles

Danil Panarin makes NCAA Singles Championship debut

NASHVILLE, Tenn. — Vanderbilt freshman Danil Panarin will represent the Commodores at the NCAA DI Singles Championships in Stillwater, Oklahoma. The No. 45 Dore will open tournament play tomorrow in the Round of 64 against No. 34 Justin Boulais at 3 p.m. Central time.

Panarin finished 14-11 overall for the season and was named the 2023–24 SEC Freshman of the Year. Among his notable victories, he defeated four nationally ranked opponents.

Ohio State’s Boulais concluded the season 18-9 overall. His success includes victories over seven nationally ranked opponents.

The singles matches will be best-of-three sets, and a seven-point tiebreaker will be used at six-games-all.
