Four Commodores named to 2016 IWLCA Zag Sports Academic Honor Roll

NASHVILLE, Tenn. – A pair of Commodore seniors and recent graduates were honored for their accomplishments in the classroom this past year.

Seniors Eliza Clemens and Abby Quirk along with graduates Emma Dagres and Mallory Schonk were named to the Intercollegiate Women’s Lacrosse Coaches Association Zag Sports Division I Academic Honor Roll. They were four of 341 Division I women’s lacrosse players honored. Players from 301 institutions across Division I, II, III and NAIA were recognized.

Clemens, a senior defender from Ruxton, Md., is majoring in Human Organizational Development. Quirk, a senior attacker from Sudbury, Mass., is also majoring in Human Organizational Development.

Schonk, a two-time IWLCA nominee, graduated this past year with a degree in Interdisciplinary Studies: Cognitive and Linguistic Development. Dagres was nominated for the first time, graduated with a degree in Leadership and Organizational Communications.

In order to be eligible for this honor, student-athletes must be a junior, senior, or graduate student and earned a cumulative academic GPA of 3.50 or higher.
