When Vanderbilt hosts its annual Black & Gold Spring Game on Friday, March 25, fans will have many entertainment options before, during and after the game. Among the pregame choices will be local food trucks that offer a variety of selections.
The block party, which begin at 3 p.m. leading up to kickoff at 6 p.m., will take place on Jess Neely Drive on the south side of Vanderbilt Stadium and also feature live entertainment, a kids’ zone and more.
The food trucks that are scheduled to attend are:
Bacon Nation – All Things Bacon – Menu
Bradley’s Curbside Creamery – Slow-Churned Ice Cream – Menu
The Confeastador – Tacos – Menu
Crankee’s Pizza – Wood-Fired Pizza – Menu
Dan’s Gourmet Mac & Cheese – Mac & Cheese – About
The food trucks will be located on the west end of Jess Neely Drive where it meets Natchez Trace.
Once inside the stadium, fans will get their first look at Vanderbilt’s 2016 team and be treated to a special halftime presentation for Jay Cutler. The former Vanderbilt quarterback will be recognized on the field for being inducted into the Vanderbilt Athletics Hall of Fame.
At the conclusion of the game, fans will be invited onto the field to meet and get autographs from current members of the team.
Soles4Souls Donations Accepted at Gate
Vanderbilt, in conjunction with Soles4Souls, will provide shoe collection locations as fans enter Vanderbilt Stadium for the game. Everyone attending the game will enter the stadium via Gate 2.
The local not for profit outfit collects shoes and delivers them across the globe. Vanderbilt athletics and Soles4Souls have teamed up for service trips to Tanzania, Costa Rica and Cuba.
