June 11, 2015

NASHVILLE, Tenn. — Margaret Fee jumped right into the fray during her first collegiate lacrosse season.

On Wednesday, Inside Lacrosse Magazine took notice and recognized Fee for a standout freshman season by naming her to the All-Rookie Team.

Fee, a midfielder/defender from Needham, Mass., played in 15 of 16 games and started the first six after the high school All-American impressed the Commodore coaches in the fall.

She led all Vanderbilt freshmen with 24 ground balls and 12 caused turnovers. She also won seven draw controls and had two assists as she shifted to midfield halfway through the season to help fill a void.

Fee was one of four defenders and one of 20 freshmen to make the ILWomen All-Rookie Team.
