NASHVILLE, Tenn. — Three tournaments, all on the road, highlight the Vanderbilt fall schedule.
The Commodores last completed March 6-8 at the Darius Rucker Intercollegiate on Hilton Head Island, South Carolina, before the COVID-19 pandemic canceled the remainder of the 2019-20 season.
“We’re thrilled that we have the opportunity to play this fall and I’m very grateful for all the people that have made it happen,” Vanderbilt head coach Greg Allen said.
Vandy is scheduled to debut on the links Oct. 5-7 at the Blessings Collegiate Invitational at The Blessings Golf Club in Fayetteville, Arkansas. The 54-hole stroke play event will be televised live by GOLF Channel and be complemented by digital coverage.
The event will be televised from 3:30-6:30 p.m. CT each day.
The Commodores will then travel to The Ally at Old Waverly in West Point, Mississippi, for The Ally at Old Waverly tournament Oct. 19-21. Allen’s squad will then head to Athens, Georgia, for the Liz Murphy Fall Collegiate Classic from Nov. 6-8.
“We know the competition will definitely be good as we face the SEC all three tournaments,” Allen said. “And we will get to play three really good golf courses. It will be nice to get a second chance at The Blessings after NCAAs in 2019. Old Waverly has hosted multiple USGA championships and the UGA course has hosted NCAA championships.
“Our girls have been working hard and we’re excited to finally get back out there carrying the Vanderbilt bag.”
Vandy returns three seniors in Morgan Baxendale, Virginia Green and Louise Yu and also welcomes true freshmen Virginie Ding and Ariel Yu.
Vanderbilt’s spring schedule will be finalized and announced at a later date.
