Dores drop swim meet decided in final relay

NASHVILLE, Tenn. — Arkansas swept the top two spots in the 200 free relay Friday at the Centennial Sportsplex to secure a 133-129 victory over Vanderbilt swimming.

The Commodores saw both Emily Constable and Reagan Mathieson collect multiple individual victories while three other individuals—Quinlan Hinerfeld, Aubrey Hull and Kailia Utley—also won races in the competition.

“It was a good all-around performance for the team, to go back and forth and down to the last relay was a lot of fun. It was an exciting day,” head coach Jeremy Organ said. “Doing some different events like the 50s and the 100 IM gave this meet a different flavor, but for Emily and Reagan to come up and have strong performances is a good testament to what they’ve been doing in practice lately. They are both set up well moving forward.”

Vandy will conclude the regular season against Southern Illinois on Feb. 1, with the program honoring 10 senior and graduate swimmers competing in their final home meet for the Dores prior to the start of the competition.
