Dores Wrap Pro Day

Vanderbilt hosted NFL scouts on Wednesday

NASHVILLE, Tenn. — The Vanderbilt football team had 13 members of its 2024 Birmingham Bowl championship team showcase themselves for NFL scouts on Wednesday at the program’s annual Pro Day.

Julian Ashby, Delfin Xavier Castillo, Loic Fouonji, Maurice Hampton, Steven Hubbard, Moni Jones, Steven Losoya, Jesse Mirco, Tyson Russell, Quincy Skinner Jr., CJ Taylor, Dariyan Wiley and De’Rickey Wright all participated in the event at the David Williams II Recreation and Wellness Center.

Fouonji posted the day’s top 40-yard dash time at 4.44, a mark which would have placed him among the top-20 wide receivers at the 2025 NFL Combine.

Hampton and Russell each posted a 4.47 40 time. That mark would have placed them in the top-15 combine speeds at cornerback and seventh among safeties. Taylor clocked in at 4.53, a slot which would have been 11th among safeties at the combine.

Losoya was the standout on the bench press, registering 32 reps. That mark would have ranked second among offensive linemen at this year’s combine, trailing only Cincinnati’s Luke Kandra who posted 33. Hubbard notched 24 reps, which would have had him 12th among offensive linemen at the combine.

The players will continue to train and meet with NFL teams in advance of the 2025 NFL Draft which runs April 25-27. Immediately following the draft, players have the opportunity to sign as free agents.
