NASHVILLE, TENN – The Vanderbilt swim team travels to Pensacola, Fla. for a tri-meet as they take on both the University of West Florida and the University of North Florida on Thursday.
Vandy is coming off its successful first swim meet of the season, where the `Dores defeated both ULAR and Campbell University.
Following Thursday’s competition in Florida the Commodores travel up to Auburn, Ala. to face their first SEC opponent as the Tigers play host to both Vandy and the Notre Dame Fighting Irish on Oct. 18 at 1 p.m. CT at the James E. Martin Aquatics Center.
Scouting Report:
Host school, the University of West Florida, play host to their first meet of the season. The Argos open their second season of swimming competition with five student-athletes selected for the NSISC preseason all-conference team.
The University of North Florida Opry’s are coming off a seventh place finish at The All-Florida Invitational in Gainesville.
Auburn is the home of 10 swimmers selected to compete be to members of the U.S. National team. The Tigers kicked off their season defeating Indiana, 129-113.
The Fighting Irish will be coming of a tri-meet against Georgia Tech and SEC for South Carolina before they take on the `Dores on the 18th. Notre Dame opened the season defeating Michigan State, 182-118
