Men's tennis set for Crimson Tide Fall Challenge

NASHVILLE, Tenn. – Vanderbilt men’s tennis returns to play starting tomorrow at the Crimson Tide Fall Challenge hosted by Alabama.

The event will showcase teams from the SEC, ACC and Ivy League in a no-team-scoring tournament that begins Friday and concludes Sunday. Out of the eight total teams participating, three made the NCAA tournament last season: Auburn, Florida State and Columbia. Vanderbilt opens up against Louisville on Friday, Florida State on Saturday and rounds out play versus Virginia Tech on Sunday; all of the Dores’ matches are set for 10 a.m.

Crimson Tide Fall Challenge
Format:
Opening matches will start at 10 a.m. all three days, with the second round of matches starting at 1 p.m. Teams will play a hidden dual format with two doubles matches (one standard tiebreak set to six), followed by four singles matches (best two out of three). Each match win is worth one point. If there is a tie at the end of singles, a 10-point doubles tiebreaker will be played and a coin flip will determine which doubles teams will compete.

Participating Schools: Alabama, Auburn, Columbia, Florida State, Louisville, Ole Miss, Vanderbilt, Virginia Tech

Commodores Competing: Donghyun Hwang, Callum Markowitz, Danil Panarin, Jack Satterfield

Matches on the front six outdoor courts, as well as all indoor courts, can be watched online.
