NASHVILLE, Tenn. — Tyrin Lawrence scored 17 points and Vanderbilt basketball limited Morehead State to 27 percent shooting from the floor in picking up a 76-43 victory over the Eagles Friday at Memorial Gymnasium.
Lawrence hit 8 of 11 shots from the floor and added five rebounds, with his three field goals in a 64-second span giving the Commodores (2-2) a 24-8 lead with just over eight minutes remaining in the first half. Liam Robbins chipped in with nine points and seven rebounds, and Malik Dia added nine points in 15 minutes off the bench.

Quentin Millora-Brown, Jordan Wright and Noah Shelby scored eight points apiece for Vandy as well.
In addition to shooting 49.2 percent from the field, the Dores sank eight 3-pointers and held a 50-33 rebounding advantage.

Alex Gross led the Eagles (2-3) with 14 points, and Drew Thelwell posted a double-double with 11 points and a game-high 10 rebounds. Morehead State, however, was just 3 of 37 from 3-point range.
