KNOXVILLE, Tenn. – In dual meet action on Saturday, the Vanderbilt women’s swimming team fell to rival Tennessee, 198-61, at the Jones Aquatic Center.
To open the meet, the Commodores’ A-unit took fourth in the 400-yard medley relay, clocking in at 3:48.48.
Vanderbilt claimed second and third in the 1,000-yard freestyle, with Lara Hernandez-Tome’s 10:29.95 and Krislyn Porter’s 10:37.70. Places 4-7 were claimed by Commodores in the 100-yard breaststroke.
Abby Burke’s 5:02.97 was good enough for a top-three finish in the 500-yard freestyle. Alix Roy was the top Vanderbilt swimmer in the 400-yard individual medley with a 4:32.26.
The Commodores and Lady Vols split the top four spots in the 200-yard freestyle relay.
Vanderbilt will return to action on Nov. 22 at the Liberty Invite in Lynchburg, Virginia.
