Dores Set to Host Weekend Tournament

Vanderbilt wraps up fall season with Commodore Invitational

NASHVILLE, Tenn. — The Vanderbilt men’s tennis team is set to host its annual Commodore Invitational this weekend at the Currey Tennis Center to finish up the fall season.

The Commodores will welcome North Carolina, Georgia Tech, Memphis, and Lipscomb to Nashville for the annual event starting Friday and running through Sunday. The Invitational will open at 9 a.m. Friday with the Commodores competing against Georgia Tech.

A full competition schedule for the weekend is below.

The Dores enter this year’s Commodore Invitational following the Bulldog Invitational where they won all three of their matches on the Invitational’s final day. For the weekend, Joubert Klopper won three singles matches and teamed with Connor Robb-Wilcox for a pair of doubles wins. Siim Troost and Michael Ross each won a singles match while also earning a doubles win together on the final day.

Friday

9 a.m. — Vanderbilt vs. Georgia Tech

1 p.m. — UNC vs. Memphis/Lipscomb

 

Saturday

10 a.m. — Vanderbilt vs. UNC

2 p.m. — Georgia Tech vs. Memphis/Lipscomb

 

Sunday

9 a.m. — Georgia Tech vs. UNC

12 p.m. — Vanderbilt vs. Memphis/Lipscomb
