Dores Set for Regionals

Men's tennis begins play tomorrow at Ohio Valley Regional

NASHVILLE, Tenn. — The Vanderbilt men’s tennis team travels to West Lafayette, Indiana for the ITA Ohio Valley Regional Championships Oct. 9-14 hosted by Purdue.

Qualifying is set to begin tomorrow with the singles and doubles finals taking place Oct. 14. The Dores are sending nine of their 10 total players to compete in the event. This includes junior Hugo Coquelin, who advanced to the doubles semifinals at Regionals last season alongside Henry Ruger. Senior Tighe Brunetti and freshmen Donghyun Hwang and Cayden Wang will kick off the action for Vandy in qualifying singles tomorrow. The remaining Dores are set to compete in the main draw beginning on Friday.

The ITA Regional Championships marks the second qualifying tournament for the 2025 NCAA Individual Championships. In total, 13 regional tournaments will be hosted across the men’s and women’s sides of play. The two singles finalists from each region will secure qualification for the NCAA Singles Championship and the doubles champion from each region will earn qualification for the NCAA Doubles Championship.
