Vanderbilt Thomas F. Roush, M.D., and Family Men’s Golf Head Coach Scott Limbaugh on the Invitational at The Honors Course
“Our team is climbing together right now and learning a lot about ourselves each day out. We are training ourselves to learn how to show up consistently and help lift the boat. College golf is all about how you learn, grow, and get better each day. We got off to a good start, but we also have a lot of areas we can improve upon, and that’s exciting. We have another great opportunity this week to send a message about who we are and what we want to stand for as a team.

“I know our guys will be pumped to play at The Honors Course this week against another great field. It’s always fun to be able to play close to home and play in front of a lot of our fans and supporters.”

Vanderbilt at the Invitational at The Honors Course
This will be the first time that the Commodores have competed at The Honors Course.

It is the first time that Vanderbilt has played a tournament in the Volunteer State outside of the Mason Rudolph Championship since 2020-21, when the Dores won the 2021 NCAA Kingston Springs Regional at the Golf Club of Tennessee. It will also be Vandy’s first away tournament in its home state during the regular season since the 2015-16 campaign, when the Commodores participated in the 2015 Dick’s Sporting Goods Challenge, also at the Golf Club of Tennessee.

Last Time Out
Vanderbilt put the nation on notice in its season-opening tournament, winning the 2025 Carmel Cup with a score of 17-under 1,063.

The No. 12 Dores won the Carmel Cup by three strokes, knocking off a pair of top-10 teams in defending national champion Oklahoma State, which opens the season as the top-ranked team in the country, and No. 9 Oklahoma. The Commodores held round scores of 352-346-365 in the play-six, count-five format.
