NASHVILLE, Tenn. – Vanderbilt lacrosse returns home to open American Athletic Conference play on Saturday, hosting 11th-ranked Florida at noon on ESPN+.
The Dores are coming off an open weekend after topping Xavier 19-4 last Wednesday in Cincinnati. Junior Molly Finlay was named the AAC Honor Roll after posting five goals off five shots and dished one assist. Sammy Nuchow matched her career-best with five assists in the win.
Florida enters the game in the top 25 for the seventh consecutive week, checking in at number 11. The Gators most recently topped Liberty in Gainesville with a 23-3 decision. Danielle Pavinelli, Madison Waters and Lea Flobeck each registered a hat trick while 10 other Gators also scored.
Saturday will be the 18th overall matchup between the schools in a series that Florida leads 15-2. In last year’s matchup, Florida topped Vandy 22-6 at Dizney Stadium.
