Dores Make Main Draw

Vanderbilt set to compete in doubles and singles main draw at All-Americans

TULSA, Okla. — The Vanderbilt men’s tennis team will be competing tomorrow in both the doubles and singles main draw at the ITA All-American Championships, hosted by Tulsa.

Sophomore Hugo Coquelin and fifth-year Henry Ruger, fresh off consecutive tiebreak wins, were slated to face Duke’s Sam Landau and Andreja Petrovic this afternoon. The Blue Devils withdrew from the tournament, automatically advancing the Dores into the main draw. The duo returns to play tomorrow at 3:30 p.m. CT against Florida State’s Joshua Dous Karpenschif and Erik Schiessl.

Danil Panarin begins his singles play at All-Americans in the opening round of the main draw. The sophomore also matches up with a Florida State opponent, taking on the Seminoles’ Corey Craig tomorrow at 1:30 p.m.
