NASHVILLE, Tenn. — Vanderbilt men’s tennis will open its ITA Kickoff Weekend play Friday at 4 p.m. CT against top-seeded host USC in Los Angeles.
Contingent on Friday’s results, the Commodores will either face off against UCLA or Memphis on Sunday.
This weekend marks the Dores’ 13th ITA Kickoff Weekend appearance since the inaugural tournament in 2009. Spanning 15 men’s and women’s sites across the country, ITA Kickoff Weekend brings together the top 60 men’s and women’s tennis teams to take part in highly competitive, non-conference play.

Dates: Jan. 27-29
Site: Los Angeles, California / Marks Stadium
Los Angeles Regional: Vanderbilt, USC, Memphis, UCLA
Format: The tournament will follow traditional collegiate format with teams playing the best of seven matches, made up of six points from singles, and one point from doubles. With four teams at each host site, the winners from the opening round of matches will face off in the second round to determine who will reach the 2023 ITA National Team Indoor Championships hosted by the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign in Champaign, Illinois.
