NASHVILLE, Tenn. – Vanderbilt makes the short trip north to Louisville on Tuesday to face the Cardinals at 11 a.m. CT on ACC Network Extra.
• The Dores are looking to bounce back after a loss at Temple on Saturday. Vanderbilt has won four of its last five games entering the week.
• Vanderbilt and Louisville will be meeting for the 12th time. The Cardinals lead the series 8-3 and won the last meeting in 2020.
• Vanderbilt fell 20-9 at Temple to start AAC action on Saturday.
• The Commodores trailed by two in the third quarter, but Temple closed out the game on an 11-2 run.
• Karlie Bucci recorded a hat trick for the second consecutive game. She’s now second on the team in goals with 20.
• Fifth-year senior Gabby Fornia and senior Bri Gross were each named to the ILWomen Midseason All-America list as honorable mentions last week.
• Gross, who was included on the ILWomen Preseason All-America team, leads Vanderbilt in goals and draw controls and is second in points.
• Fornia is Vanderbilt’s all-time assists leader and ranks second nationally this season in assists and assists per game, leading the AAC in both categories. She also ranks second nationally for career assists among active players with 159.
• Melissa Hawkins is tied for second in Vanderbilt history with 121 caused turnovers. The record belongs to Sasha Cielak with 133. Hawkins is sixth in career ground balls at 134.
• Bri Gross is second in Vandy’s record books with 211 draw controls. Ally Carey holds the record with 263.
• Gabby Fornia’s 232 career points is third-most in Commodore history. Margie Curran holds the record with 244.
