Sophomore Jenny Hahn shot a third-round two-under par, 69, to pace the Commodore effort on Sunday in the final round of the Stanford Intercollegiate, Hosted by Condoleeza Rice, and helped lead Vanderbilt to a ninth place finish at the event. Hahn finished in a tie for 16th on the individual leader board, her third consecutive top 20 finish this fall, while the team finished with a final total of 877 (296-288-293).
Hahn’s third round at the Stanford Golf Course was a steady one, as she compiled a birdie, 15 pars, a bogey, and an eagle three on the par five, 473-yard 12th hole. For the tournament, Hahn had a total of 214 (72-73-69).
Freshman Simin Feng was next for Vanderbilt with a 216 (74-69-73), and was followed by junior Kendall Martindale with a 226 (79-72-75), freshman Antonia Scherer with a 228 (75-74-79), and senior Rene Sobolewski with a 228 (75-77-76).
USC went wire-to-wire to claim the team title with a score of 831 (276-272-283), five strokes better than crosstown rival UCLA. The Bruins’ Alison Lee topped the individual leader board with a seven-under par, 206.
The Stanford Intercollegiate was the Commodores’ final tournament of the fall, with Vanderbilt returning to the course in the spring February 17-18 at the Central District Invitational in Bradenton, Fla.
