GAINESVILLE, Fla. — Vanderbilt lacrosse fell to eighth-ranked Florida Saturday afternoon, with a final score of 22-6.
Florida opened the game with two quick goals, but a Paige Finneran goal brought the Dores within one. The Gators then went on a 6-0 run, leading 8-1 at the end of the first quarter.
The Commodores opened the second quarter on back-to-back goals from Nancy Halleron and Kayla Rieu. Vandy trailed 14-4 at the break.
Finneran and Halleron connected for their second goals on the day in the final minutes of the fourth quarter.
