MEMPHIS, Tenn. — No. 11 Vanderbilt soccer suffered its first loss of the 2025 season Sunday night, falling 1-0 at No. 24 Memphis at the Murphy Track & Soccer Complex.
After a scoreless first half, the Tigers broke through in the 55th minute when Elise Perron found the back of the net for the lone goal of the contest. Vanderbilt (3-1) pressed for an equalizer, outshooting Memphis (4-0) 11–5 and placing six attempts on frame.
Adysen Armenta posted two of the Commodores’ six shots but Memphis keeper Abby Kudla made five stops to keep Vandy from connecting.
The Commodores return to Nashville on Friday night to host Yale at 7 p.m. at the Vanderbilt Soccer Complex. The match can be seen on SEC Network+.
