NASHVILLE, Tenn. – With the start of the 2010 season just two weeks away, members of the Vanderbilt men’s tennis team earned recognition from the ITA in their preseason singles and doubles ranking.
Coming off a stellar rookie campaign, sophomore Ryan Lipman enters the season ranked No. 20. Lipman posted a 23-14 overall record last year, including a 12-10 mark in dual matches and was 6-5 against SEC opponents. He advanced to the second round of the NCAA tournament. The Nashville native was tabbed Co-SEC Freshman of the Year and was also honored as first team All-SEC and freshman All-SEC.
In doubles play, senior Adam Baker and Lipman are ranked No. 48 and the senior pair of Alex Zotov and Bryant Salcedo are No. 50.
The Commodores open up their fall schedule Sept. 24 in Athens, Ga., at the Southern Collegiates, hosted by the University of Georgia.
