NASHVILLE, Tenn. – Vanderbilt erased a two-goal deficit with a second-half comeback to draw 3-3 with No. 20 Northwestern on Sunday afternoon at the Vanderbilt Soccer Complex.
The Wildcats struck first with a goal in the seventh minute from Aurea Carmen.
After an offsides call on Northwestern, the Dores responded with a sequence from keeper Kate Devine who served to Rachel Deresky downfield. Deresky found Addie Porter for the game-tying goal, putting Vanderbilt on the board in the 13th.

Northwestern scored a pair of quick goals in the 22nd and 24th to take a 3-1 lead into the break.
Vanderbilt found another gear in the second half, outshooting the Wildcats 9-1. Freshman Ella Eggleston found Courtney Jones to tally her second goal of the season in the 49th to bring the Dores within one.

Eggleston then scored the equalizer in the 84th minute for Vanderbilt to secure the 3-3 draw.

Vanderbilt moves to 3-0-3. The Dores are unbeaten through their first six matches for the second consecutive season and third overall in the Darren Ambrose era. Vanderbilt has won or earned a draw in three of its last five matches against a ranked opponent.
