NASHVILLE, Tenn. – The Vanderbilt men’s tennis team concludes the fall tournament season this weekend in Tuscaloosa, Ala. competing in the SEC Coaches Classic presented by Hampton Inn by Hilton.

The ‘Dores travel down to “T-Town” following a successful Commodore Scramble where Daniel Valent and Cameron Klinger took home co-champion honors and the team earned a combined 33-7 record in singles record.

This weekend Tate Allwardt, Alex Ross and Panu Virtanen will compete in the Classic’s singles draw with Pen Binet joining the trio in the morning’s 9 a.m. doubles rounds.

In individual play, Ross enjoys a first round bye then takes on Alabama’s Ritchie Kruunenberg. Virtanen also takes on an Alabama student-athlete with No. 34 Mazen Osama in his first round sights. Allwardt wraps up singles play for the trio taking on South Carolina’s No. 30 Gabriel Friedrich.

After making his senior debut in doubles in last weekend’s Commodore Scramble, Binet will pair up with Virtanen for his first full tournament back. The duo face Bama’s Osama/Richey. Allwardt and Ross team up for the first time since last October and take on SC’s Thomas Mayronne and Andrew Schafer.
