NASHVILLE, Tenn. – Vanderbilt men’s tennis has earned the ITA All-Academic Team award, as the Intercollegiate Tennis Association announced recipients on Monday. Additionally, a program record 12 Commodore student-athletes were named ITA Scholar-Athletes, tied for the highest among any Division 1 program this year along with Harvard.
Overall, 994 Division I student-athletes were named an ITA Scholar-Athlete and 159 programs were awarded the All-Academic Team distinction.
Fifth year Henry Ruger, senior Michael Ross, sophomores Hugo Coquelin, Oscar Jensen, Danil Panarin and Nick Roddy, freshmen Dylan Charlap, Giuseppe Cerasuolo, Pablo Martinez Gomez, Jack Ingram and Callum Markowitz, and redshirt freshman Roh Hoyoung received ITA Scholar-Athlete distinction. It is the sixth consecutive year for Vanderbilt earning the team award and is the 20th year a Dore is represented in the individual academic honors. To be eligible, student-athletes must have a grade point average of at least 3.50 for the current academic year and be listed on the institutional eligibility form.
The ITA All-Academic Team award is open to any ITA program that has a cumulative team grade point average of 3.20 or above. All varsity letter winners were factored into the cumulative team GPA for the current academic year.
