Dore Jam, Vanderbilt’s annual Fan Day activity, is moving to an early Saturday date in August and will include several new activities.
The 16th edition of Vanderbilt’s official fan day experience, which annually attracts thousands of Commodore fans to campus for an afternoon of autographs, photographs and family fun, will be held Saturday, August 5, from 4-6 p.m. Admission and parking are free.
For the first time, the Dore Jam will feature live music and menu items from some of Music City’s top food truck vendors.
The event offers fans a chance to greet their favorite Commodore players, head coach Derek Mason and his coaching staff. Free 2017 schedule posters will be distributed to all fans for player and coach autographs.

“Dore Jam is a fun event for everybody — our fans, student-athletes and coaches,” Senior Associate Athletics Director Martin Salamone said. “It’s definitely one of our most anticipated activities, and signals the start of the new Commodore athletic calendar. We look forward to a full house of fans getting autographs and interacting with our players and coaches.”
The event also features an array of activities for young fans, including inflatables and sport-related activities, such as agility, kicking and passing drills. Vanderbilt official mascot Mr. C and Commodore spirit leaders will be on hand, along with face painters and balloon artists.
Dore Jam will be held indoors at the Vanderbilt Multipurpose Facility. The on-campus venue is located between Natchez Trace and 25th Avenue South.
Barnes & Noble at Vanderbilt staff will be on-site with the latest Vanderbilt Athletics merchandise.
