Vanderbilt athletics and Second Harvest officials announced today that individual tickets for Vanderbilt’s home finale against Kentucky are available for $35 with a canned food donation dropped off at McGugin Athletics Center on campus. The promotion is $15 off the regular ticket price.
With winter approaching, the most needed items at Second Harvest Food Bank are canned chicken, tuna, canned fruit and vegetables, soups, stews, pasta and cereal.
Tickets discounted to $35 are also available to all Vanderbilt employees, and to groups purchasing at least 15 tickets.
Kickoff for the Kentucky-Vanderbilt game is 11:21 a.m. on Nov. 12.
The Kentucky encounter marks Vanderbilt’s final home game of James Franklin’s first season. The Commodores are 4-2 this season on campus, with both losses coming at the wire against ranked Arkansas and Georgia.
“This is a critical game for the Commodores and Coach Franklin’s team needs as much support as we can generate,” Vanderbilt Athletics Director of Sales and Marketing Steve Walsh said. “We are very pleased to announce a ticket promotion that also benefits such a noteworthy cause as Second Harvest.”
The 4-4 Commodores play at Florida this Saturday. Besides the Nov. 12 home finale vs. Kentucky, they also have play road games at Tennessee on Nov. 19 and Wake Forest on Nov. 26 to conclude the regular season.
